The interior has recently benefited from a sympathetic refurbishment adding a slight comtempory twist to the pub whilst maintaining the historical features such as the open fire and beams.
The bar is well stocked with the all important Beer, Lager and cask ales along with a fine selection of wines, champagnes and quirky spirits. If it doesnt have your tipple , please ask and it will be there for your next visit.

Here at The Woodman we stock a wide range of wines to suit all dishes and pallettes but knowing what to choose to best compliment your chosen meal can sometimes be a minefield, here is a brief outline and some options.

The Landlords Choice
As Landlords we have created a pretty good wine liste, my choice  for your meat dish would have to be a Nobilio East Coast Merlot this is a classic fruity wine that really does compliment the food.
Fish dishes i have found tend to go well with a Pinot Grigio  this is just my opinion,
