The Woodman, Steeped in History.....
is located on the ‘famous rabbit run’ and offers glorious views across the Shropshire Countryside. You would be forgiven for thinking that you are ‘out in the sticks’ but it is actually located close to Bridgnorth and Wolverhampton.
The Georgian Style Building dates back to 1858, it was granted the licence to become a Beer House in accordance with the Duke of Wellingtons Beer House Act of 1830, this allowed a private house to sell beer from 4.00am until 10.00pm every day except Divine Service and Christmas Day!!! Trading hours have changed slightly since!!!!! The Woodman upon opening was run by the Brazier family for a total of 78 years
The Woodman is now owned and run by Tim and Emma Hodgkinson, a brother and sister duo who have taken on the challenge of looking after this lovely old building, they received the keys on 31st December 2007....Happy New Year They aim to offer guests fantastic service whether they are popping in for a drink and a chat, a light lunch or lingering over a 3 course meal
